Definition of Evangelical

This definition of "Evangelical" that newly popped into my radar is found in a Christianity Today article, C. S. Lewis Superstar

Evangelical Experience: Personal encounter with the God of the universe

"At the end of the day, (Lewis believed that) in Christianity you are confronted with a person that you either say yes to or no to … and that is very evangelical."

Unsure about the theological soundness of this statement, but good food for thought ay?

Wow, I cant wait for Narnia (storybook by CS Lewis) to hit the movie screens... Ya, i agree that the person of Jesus is truth, life and the Way... not merely a set of doctrinal statements.

But it's also true statements about Jesus help us to know the real person of Jesus better! Without them, we may be encountering 'another jesus'?!

i like wat JI Packer said abt knowledge about God should help us to know Him better.

C.S. Lewis was a genius. I hope God will use his writing to touch many people's lives. It definitely changed mine.

i'm usually not into fantasy movies (haven't seen any of the harry potter nor lord of the ring films), but have been anticipating for Narnia! :)
